One of the biggest blessings I find since moving to Salzburg is that of nature on the tip of my toes. Even chamois-bearing woods are just a walk away and stepping out of the door into the crisp morning air I am reminded of something photography is so painfully lacking for me: Although often we trust it’s ability to record, it will never have this startling effect of a scent, who – within split-seconds – can be found pulling from underneath deep layers on the grounds of our memory.
